4th release by Detroit's The Black Dahlia Murder, Miasma is more of the
same extreme metalcore that follows along with bands such as the
Agony Scene and As I Lay Dying. The production and sound
are good, but it is definitely not our preferred style.
I would love to see the Metal Blade crew concentrate
more on the type of bands that built their label and expand upon
those genres like current Metal Blade artists Brainstorm and Symphorce. There is a killer album by Antiquus (reviewed
elsewhere on this site) that is just waiting for a label to take
a chance on them...interested perhaps Mr. Slagel?
