The latest 11 track release from Power Quest, Magic Never Dies,
is a pure melodic rock / metal bliss. Combining elements
of bands like Shy (for
Alessio Garavello sounding like Tony Mills) and TNT's more
melodic / AOR moments, Power Quest has actually carved a rather
interesting niche. There are moments where the band
wonders into Rhapsody territory as well, but the majority of the
release takes a much more melodic direction. The keyboards
are more 80's geared than 90's or 00's power metal. Power
Quest appears to have taken the "Hollywood Metal" genre into an
even more melodic direction.
