SIROCCO
Nemed: An Triu Creathan

I have a definite love / hate opinion of Ireland's Sirocco.
Here, we have a traditional metal band with self-described
celtic influences, an awesome sound, a lyric sheet and an all
instrumental disc! Other reviewers suggest the band has a
Thin Lizzy meets Iron Maiden style and that description is
pretty close to the truth. However, these songs scream for
a vocalist!!!!! I can't stress enough to these guys what a
potentially special release they have on their hands that will
get shuffled aside and ignored due to the lack of a singer.
Nemed contains a swagger and a charm that is musically excellent
and a story that just needs to be narrated in some way, shape or
form.
If you thoroughly enjoy the musical style of the previously
mentioned bands, and more obscure groups such as Griffin and
Valhalla, you will love this disc and curse it at the same time.
While I hardly ever offer advice to bands, I would STRONGLY
suggest adding a vocal track to the disc and attempt to shop
this around to labels and publications. The music is
strong enough to garner interest and the right singer may just
seal a record deal.
