Music Saves Lives presented an All-Star Jam to fund Suicide Awareness and Education

Music Saves Lives presented an All-Star Jam Session that included Kevin Martin (Candlebox), Brett Scallions (Fuel), guitar virtuoso Orianthi, Billy Morrison (Billy Idol), Julia Lage (Vixen), Richie Kotzen (The Winery Dogs), Jonathan Mover (Saigon Kick) at the legendary Canyon Club in Agoura Hills, California on Monday, December 4.

Josh Homme, Troy Van Leeuwen and Michael Shuman (Queens of the Stone Age) also played a five-song set. And, comedian and actor David Forseth held down the fort as the evenings emcee.

SAVE (Suicide Awareness Voices of Education) Executive Director Erich Mische gave some remarks during the evening about the mission of the organization. A short film was also shown about the work done for a few of the families affected by suicide as all profits from the event activities will benefit the suicide prevention organization.

Songs performed on this evening by the All-Star Jammers: “Running Down a Dream” (Tom Petty), “Wonderwall” (Oasis), “Babe I’m Gonna Leave You” (Led Zeppelin), “All Along the Watchtower” (Jimi Hendrix), “Fooled Around and Fell in Love” (Elvin Bishop Band), “Revolution” (The Beatles) and “Surrender” (Cheap Trick).

Queens of the Stone Age members played the following songs:  “I Sat by the Ocean”, “I Never Came”, “Into the Hollow” with Josh’s son, Ryder on tambourine, “Villains of Circumstance” and “Go with the Flow.”

SAVE (Suicide Awareness Voices of Education) is one of the nation’s first organizations dedicated to the prevention of suicide.
