Myles Kennedy – Los Angeles, CA – 2/16/2025

Myles Kennedy with his guests Tim Montana and Sons of Silver rocked the crowd at the El Rey Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday.

Sons of Silver kicked the evening off with an energetic performance that set the stage for the rest of the night. Their set included a blend of hard-edged tunes that were mixed with a couple of melodic songs.

Next up was Tim Montana who brought a distinctive combination of country rock to the forefront. Calling his set high-energy is an understatement, Montana’s band were loaded with raw musicianship along with an engaging stage presence. His performance was truly captivating.

Myles Kennedy’s performance this evening was particularly notable for his impressive guitar work, seamlessly switching between rhythm and lead roles. His voice, as always, was standout, captivating the audience with both new and classic tracks. Kennedy’s setlist was a mix of his latest album, “The Art of Letting Go”, and fan favorites from his previous solo albums. The performance included over half of his newest record, with stand out performances of “Nothing More to Gain” and the explosive closer, “Say What You Will.”

He also performed “Year of The Tiger” and “Haunted by Design” from his 2018 album, Year of The Tiger,” and tracks from “The Ides of March” like “In Stride” and “Get Along. The concert was a night of incredible musicality and showmanship. His willingness to rework and adapt his catalogue for the powertrio setup demonstrated his versatility and dedication to his craft.

Kennedy was joined by Tim Tournier on Bass Guitar and drummer Zia Uddin, who also was a member of The Mayfield Four with Myles. The audience was left buzzing with excitement, and many agreed it was one of his best performances.  Overall, it was a night of incredible musicality and showmanship, solidifying Kennedy’s reputation as one of the greatest voices in modern rock.
