The event included numerous performances, surprise artist appearances, a Meet & Greet, and All Star Jams, and was hosted by radio/television music Icon Eddie Trunk along with entertainment personality Cathy Rankin.
During the gala, attendees celebrated the induction of five Hard Rock and Heavy Metal legends into the Metal Hall of Fame: Twisted Sister, Lou Gramm, Chris Impellitteri, Raven, and Doug Aldrich.
Guitarist Steve Vai (Whitesnake /David Lee Roth) and drummer Mike Portnoy, (The Winery Dogs) will inducted Twisted Sister, and red carpet attendees included members of Queensryche, Leatherwolf, Quiet Riot, Burning Rain, Kingdom Come, Vixen, and more.

Proceeds from the Annual Metal Hall of Fame Charity Gala go to the non-profit organization D.A.D. (Drums and Disabilities). D.A.D. brings free music programs and therapy services to help special needs children and wounded veterans in various health facilities and community centers.
