GLEN SOBEL and the GOON SQUAD will be rocking Sub Alpine Club

GLEN SOBEL and the GOON SQUAD will be rocking Sub Alpine Club (108 9th St., Turtle Creek, Pennsylvania 15145) on Thursday July 18, 2019 (the night before the Alice Cooper concert in Burgettstown).

Doors open at 7pm. Pittsburgh’s supergroup Borstal Boys perform at 8pm.

Tickets are $22 and available at Sub Alpine Club, Attic Records, Dave’s Music Mine, Record Connection (Niles, OH), Anthony Lamonde and the Borstal Boys and Lily V. Sixx.

Glen Sobel and the Goon Squad are 4 members of the current Alice Cooper band – Ryan Roxie, Chuck Garric, Tommy Henriksen and Glen Sobel.

This will be the 3rd time we have done this show in Pittsburgh:
In 2017 the band played at Moondogs and Last year the show was at Smiling Moose.

Long time Alice Cooper guitarist Ryan Roxie has always been about the fans. Many years ago he started his “Rock N Roll Parking Lot Meet and Greet.” He would post where he’d be before or after the show on facebook and he’d meet and greet his fans. Every show, every year he is always available. Roxie meet and greets fans at local record stores and at bars or restuaraunts across from the venue he is playing. He’s done meet and greets at the merchandise table inside the venue. He has even gone out to the parking lot and met fans. Pittsburgh’s parking lot meet and greets are EPIC.

The Glen Sobel and the Goon Squad concert is just another aspect incorporated into his master plan. Roxie organizes these concerts when there is a day off while on tour with Alice Cooper. Three of the band members have their own solo projects. Roxie has a new solo album titled “Imagine Your Reality,” bassist Chuck Garric’s band Beasto Blanco has a new album coming out soon titled “We Are,” and guitarist Tommy Henriksen latest album is titled “Starstruck.” Glen Sobel performs on all 3 projects.

During the concert they each showcase a solo song and a couple of their favorite cover songs. Roxie likes to play Cheap Trick and T Rex, Henriksen plays Iggy Pop and Ramones, Garric plays Metallica and Motorhead. You’ll hear several other great classics. You’re guaranteed some Alice Cooper songs to get everyone fired up for the big rock show the next night.

After the concert, the band enjoys hanging out with the crowd. It’s a great up close and personal experience for the fans and the band. It’s all a part of Roxie’s plan.
